Dr. Brittany Weldon, Ph.D.

Environment, Health, and Science Toxicologist

The Boeing Company, Seattle, WA

Dr. Brittany Weldon is an Environment, Health, and Safety Toxicologist for Boeing where she provides chemical safety and human health support to Boeing’s aerospace manufacturing factory operations, to research and development teams, engineering teams, and chemical policy and compliance teams.

Dr. Weldon completed her Ph.D. in Environmental Health and Toxicology at the University of Washington in 2016. During graduate school, she worked with Dr. Elaine Faustman investigating the toxicity of silver nanoparticles in biological systems. To help broaden her abilities to apply her scientific knowledge, she took courses in risk assessment and public policy, and was involved in public engagement with science. She hopes to provide perspective on the many opportunities bioscience graduate students and postdocs have for interesting and exciting careers in places they may not have thought to look.
