Your preparation for a career in dentistry includes training in the specialty of orthodontics. It is the goal of the Department of Orthodontics to provide students the ability to understand and diagnose malocclusion.

All UW dental students are required to participate in an orthodontic clinical experience prior to graduation. This opportunity gives you hands-on experience in the use of modern orthodontic treatment and appliances.
