About the Instructor
Ellen Covey, PhD, Duke University (1980), Professor, Department of Psychology, joined the faculty at the University of Washington in 1996, having previously served on the faculty of the Department of Neurobiology at Duke University Medical Center. Her research is on the structure and function of the auditory system. Course Description
An overview of each of the major senses with emphasis on the structure and
function of sensory systems and the relation of the underlying biology to
perceptual processes and behavior.
