Peer Review
We are using Catalyst tools for peer review. There will be five (5) postings to the Peer Review web site, and four (4) reviews.
How to use the peer review page:
- The first time you enter, you will select a nom d'plume (pen name, pseudonym) so that you can review anonymously. Select short names. Rick will be able to tell who you are, noone else will unless you tell them.
- Enter into the web site and select what you want to do - add components to your own group project or review other groups.
- Follow the Catalyst instructions, email Rick if you have trouble. If you are flailing miserably, minimize the stress by emailing the documents to everyone on the class list.
DUE DATES for fall 2006:
- SUN Oct 8 Add preliminary cruise plan to the peer review site
- FRI Oct 13 Review of the science plans
- SUN Oct15 Final cruise plan posted to site (this will not be reviewed)
- SUN Nov 5 First draft of manuscript to site
- SUN Nov 12 Review a 1st draft of the manuscript
- SUN Nov 19 Second draft of manuscript to peer review site
- SUN Nov 26 Review a 2nd draft
- SUN Dec 10 Final draft to site and emailed to Rick
- WED Dec 12 Final peer review of the final drafts and peer-review of your group (more instructions on this as the quarter progresses)
