Example 1: Horizontal Charting. this example shows big ideas in each column and investigations in each row. The color coding allows you to see which big ideas are addressed in which investigations Example 2: Vertical Charting. this example shows big ideas in each row and investigations in each column, the opposite of the first example. The session numbers are also listed and highlighted lessons are used for informal or benchmark assessments. Example 3: Expanded Conceptual Story. This example uses the TERC concept maps and adds more detail. Example 3: Everyday Math. This example shows a graphic of how big ideas are connected in an Everday Math Unit. Reading Suggestions: This document lists the student thinking reading suggestions for each group. |
