Lepidoptera species were recorded for all three sites. Two sites had higher numbers of butterflies within the forest areas and one site had higher numbers of butterflies within the forest edge. Tim’s house (site 1) and the cornfield (site 2) had a higher number of individual species of butterflies occurring in the forest area and the soccer field (site 3) had a higher number of species in the forest edge. 19 individual butterflies were observed in the forest and 6 were observed in the edge during trial 3 (T3) at the cornfield (see fig. 9). T3 had the most individual butterflies observed during the five trials for the cornfield. The cornfield (site2) had the largest species diversity (see fig. 6). Eight individual butterflies were observed in the forest during T1 at Tim’s house while 6 individual butterflies were observed within the edge during T4. Tim’s house had high species diversity but it was not as diverse as the cornfield. The soccer field had an increased number of butterflies in the forest edge during T3, 19 individuals were observed. The soccer field had 9 individual butterflies that were observed and recorded during T3 in the forest area; this is a lower number of individuals than the other forest area site. The soccer field had the highest species diversity in the edge.
