Background:

The rain forests of the world have been in danger of being cut down for quite some time now.  While there are plenty of efforts to reforest the damaged areas of Latin America, there are also efforts to continue deforestation.  Environmentalists are working frantically to discourage these practices.  The first step is to determine whether a system is in need of repair.
