Not enough researchers were involved to gather information simultaneous, this makes the forest site look like there is more water at the forest site. The sites, 1 km away from each other, could not be measured close enough in time to see which site gained speed first.

Rates of change for the depth.

•The forest site experienced an increase at a rate of 7.3 cm per hour.
•The agricultural site experienced an increase in river depth at a rate of 19.8 cm per hour.

Both researchers, standing at 5' 4.5" in height are measuring the upper width and depths of the forest site, during a time of no resent rain (i) and during a time of heavy rains (ii).
