Note:   This is the third edition of a text QSci 291/2/3 has been using for some time.
        We are no longer using the first edition but edition 2 and 3 are very similar.
        In this class, the assigned homework problems will be from the 3rd edition
        but they will be the same problems given in the second edition (different 
        problem numbers found on different of the second edition). 

        The reading assignments will be from the 3rd edition but corresponding 
        second edition will be given in the assignment section of the webpage.
