Don't
It is against the law!
And you can be kicked out of the university.
see: depts.washington.edu/grading/issue/charged
for the procedures to defend yourself
if you have been charged for cheating.
In this course you will be asked to sign a pledge that you have not cheated on the quizes or exams.
It is your integrity that is at stake here. I am not going act as some kind of academic gestapo, but there are instances where cheating (copying others work, mostly) is very obvious. You are now in a double bind if you cheated. You cheated and then you lied about it by signing the pledge. Things will not go well at your hearing!
Why cheat?
To get ahead perhaps. But if you are dealing with "truth", which is what science is all about, the truth will be found out. In fact, the whole underpinning of science is honesty. Others have to be able to duplicate your work. If they can't something is wrong. Eventually, you will be found out if you were not honest. And your reputation will be shot! Moreover, you will have wasted other peoples time who are trying very hard to find the truth. Cheating is simply dumb no matter how you look at it.
