Project: From the Global to the Local:
Environmental Art and the Creative Process Within

Student: Daniel Podrasky

PROJECT SUMMARY
A detailed view in the process of understanding a means of universal communication: art. Art is a natural, dynamic, inspiring process and creation that is able to not only transcend all conceptualized boundaries, but transfer profound messages universal meaning. In this essay we go on a path to discovering how personal inspiration leads to change by examining the work of Andy Goldsworthy, environmental art in both England and the Seattle area, while framing our understanding both globally and locally. Ultimately, we examine how the process of going global to local is cyclic in nature, universal, and necessary in developing a relationship with understanding and creating change.
