25 May 07 : Because of concerns about E-submit's ability to handle large files, I have switched final portfolio submission to a new Catalyst tool called Collect It. If you want to see how it works you can try it out here. Final portfolios are due via Catalyst Collect It by noon on Wednesday, June 6. The final portfolio turn in area will open at 6:00AM on Friday, June 1.
18 May 07 : From The Onion: Idaho Legislature Declares English Only Language They Know
16 May 07 : Next week is the last week I'll be available for one-on-one meetings before class. Please contact me as soon as possible if you'd like to schedule time to talk about your final efforts for the quarter.
14 May 07 : Those of you who are interested in displaying your Project Babel artwork in the Campus Library should contact Katie Whitson as soon as possible to make arrangements. You can reach her at 425.352.5341 or kwhitson@uwb.edu to set a time to stop by the library to meet with her and check out your options.
9 May 07 : I have set up a test turn-in space in E-submit for anyone who wants to try it out before using it to submit their final portfolio. Click here to see how it works.
7 May 07 : For those of you planning to use the Campus Media Center's multimedia studios:
- Each of you will need to come the CMC (LB2-218) to fill out a form prior to beginning work in the multimedia studio.
- All multimedia studio appointments must be made at least 12 hours in advance in-person or by phone (425.352.5312).
25 Apr 07 : Catalyst Web Tools will be offline on Saturday, May 12 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for system maintenance and the release of software enhancements.
14 Apr 07 : Your collected advice on microessays and response postings is available here. We will discuss this in class on Monday, but if you are writing a microessay for this week I thought you'd probably like to take a look at what your classmates had to say.
2 Apr 07 : The microessay posting schedule is now available. If you would like to change weeks due to interests or scheduling concerns, you may do so before Sunday, April 8, 2007. You will need to find a classmate willing to trade with you, and then both of you must send me an email with the details of the trade (i.e., X goes here, Y goes there) by next Sunday. If the trade is for week 3, I require notice by this Wednesday, April 4.
28 Mar 07 : Sample microessays are now available on the projects page under microessays. Thanks again to those of you who volunteered to go first!
26 Mar 07 : There is no textbook for this class. There was some confusion at the bookstore and they put in a book order from a past quarter. The readings for this course will be available electronically on the course discussion board.
