BMD interpretation mistakes - case 2

A 63 year old woman had a screening bone density test. She had never had any fractures and was generally healthy.

Radiologist's report:

1. Severe osteopenia of the lumbar spine.
2. Moderate osteopenia of the left hip.

She then saw a rheumatologist, whose note said:

"Severe osteoporosis of lumbar spine
and moderate osteoporosis of left hip."
