Waddington et al. Another ice sheet inverse problem. This file consists of some notes brutally extracted from a manuscript that uses a related inverse procedure (extraction of a spatial pattern of accumulation based on depth of an internal radar layer in Antarctica) to the one that we will describe (extraction of parameters describing accumulation pattern at soms time in the past on Mars north polar cap).
