What a Wonderful World

This is the wonderful world we live in: a world of forest depletion, self-centeredness, air pollution, racism, war, HIV/AIDS, and suffering children. The condition of the Earth does not seem very wonderful at all. Yet, in this time of bleakness, there are many people and organizations who strive endlessly to solve these problems an inch at a time (as demonstrated by most of the links). And that is the beauty of humanity: the potential of each individual to do what is right even in the midst of negativity and wrongdoing. Yes, there is forest depletion, air pollution, self-centeredness, racism, war, HIV/AIDS, and suffering children, but there are many that go out of their way to make the world a better place as well. Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
Oh Yeah.
