We strive to call attention to the forcibly disappeared.
This project explores how universities can be forces for good in the context of human rights. Specifically, it showcases the work of Dr. Clyde Snow, a renowned forensic anthropologist, and Dr. Mary-Claire King, a leading geneticist. Dr. Snow, Dr. King, and their students have contributed to finding justice for the families of disappeared persons in Argentina and Guatemala, among other countries in the world. By conducting in-depth research and illuminating key stories of the pursuit for justice, we show how Dr. Snow and Dr. King have revolutionized the fields of forensic science and human rights. We hope to engage the public and visually explain the importance of the fields of forensic anthropology and genetics in attaining justice in Latin America and ultimately around the world.
