I haven't taken calculus before and I am really worried about my course load. So is MATH124 very required as a corequisite, or is it just kindof recommended?

Prof. Seidler responds:

MATH124 is 'very required' as a prerequisite or corequisite. If you only have time for one of MATH124 or PHYS121 this quarter, then you should take MATH124. There will be significant portions of homework and exams in PHYS121 that you will be unable to complete if you are not at least enrolled in MATH124. Please see the instructor's comments on the course syllabus for more information on this issue.
