We have received several emails from students who are concerned about enrolling in the PHYS121B (as opposed to PHYS121A) sections because they have been told that the PHYS121B class is an honors sections, with different course requirements. Although it is true that PHYS121B in the fall quarter is an honors section, this is not true in the winter quarter. There is no honors section of PHYS121 in the winter quarter.
PHYS121A and PHYS121B in the winter quarter will have the same syllabus, similar lectures, similar exams, and the same weekly homework assignments.
