The format of the course will be as follows: the first class of the week (Tuesday) is a lecture/discussion led by the instructor and the second class of the week (Thursday) is a student led presentation/discussion of specific papers chosen by the instructor. The class will mostly be held in H511, the Biological Structure conference room. The grade for the class will be based on a journal club style presentation of one or two papers selected by the lecturer for that week, and on a final paper (10 pages, plus references), done in the style of a grant proposal addressing a topic of the student's choosing in the area of developmental neurobiology.
