Assignments

·         In groups of 2 or 3 you will submit in writing a "Best Case / Worst Case" of direct marketing (click here for information on format).  

·         Questions will be assigned for the HELP! Case, to be completed in teams.  Answers will be due in writing and presented orally.

·         A Sensitivity Analysis and Cash Flow Analysis is required for the Ruth Owades case.  This is due in writing and presented orally.  It is to be prepared in teams.

·         A Customer Interaction Map is to be prepared for the case "Passion for Learning".  This will be completed in teams and submitted in writing and presented orally.

·         An analysis of a specific retail website will be completed and presented orally.  This is to be done in teams.

·         A case analysis of "Passion for Learning" is to be completed in writing and presented orally.  This is also to be prepared in teams.

·         A Take-Home Exam will be distributed on the last day of class and is to be submitted no later than 3:00 pm on Monday, October 4.  This is your opportunity for individual assessment.

Evaluation of Student Work

Your work within the class will be evaluated on several dimensions.

Class Participation is important and either counts for or against your final assessment depending on the richness and quality of your individual contribution to the overall learning experience.  You are responsible for all reading, even if it is not explicitly covered in class. 

The relative weighting of each of these dimensions is given below:

Individual and Small Group:

·        Each group will submit 3 cases in writing

·        Each group is also responsible for 4 oral presentations with leave behind materials submitted for these.

·        To ensure equal participation in group projects, team members are requested to evaluate each other's performance using a Team Evaluation Form.  This may be handed in anytime after the last class or with your exam.  Forms will be distributed in class.
