Monday 2/26, 3-5 pm, JHN 377

-Discuss Fleitmann et al. (2003) paper on Holocene monsoon (see link below).

-Begin Holocene Carbon Cycle discussion with a discussion of the ASSIGNED READING:

Ruddiman, W. F. (2003), The Anthropogenic Greenhouse Era Began Thousands of Years Ago, Climatic Change, V61, 261-293.

*** NOTE: We will put figures up and randomly select people to explain them, so please be prepared. ***

-Continue with a discussion of the Ocean Carbonate Chemistry during the Holocene (Katie, Roo, Julian)

Tuesday 2/27, 1:30-3:30 pm, JHN 377

Continue Holocene C cycle discussion: The 1st two should go quickly AND the 3rd is obviously related (as is the ocean CO3 chemistry). So we hope to have an integrated discussion of the topics during this last meeting of the seminar.

-The record of CH4 (Brian)

-The terrestrial biosphere (Clark, Paul, Angie)

(Please let me know if I got the trawling assignemnts wrong; I scribbled them down in a very haphazard way!)
