Welcome to Japan 111 (First-year Japanese)

This is the first quarter of three quarter sequence in elementary modern Japanese language course. Students enrolled in the course may not have any prior course work in Japanese, learning substantial Japanese through residence in Japan or by heritage, or have scored 6 points or higher in JP100A placement exam. If you have taken two or more years of Japanese in high school and use the credits for college entranance requirment (aka. language of admission), no credits from this course will be awarded. For other information as to the forein language requirements at the University, please refer to the official documents. If you have any question as to your qualification for the course, please contact the main instructor (not your TA)

Please note that Final Exam for Japan 111 will be given on 12/8 (Saturday) at 10:30 (~12:20). Classroom TBA.
