To support the studio, MPA will provide local accommodations in Meinung. Students enrolled in the studio will pay for their own airfare, ground transportation, and meals in addition to the regular summer quarter tuition. Typical round-trip airfare between Seattle and Taipei is about US$1,000 during summer months and approx. US$150 between Taipei and Kaohsiung.

Visa for entry into Taiwan is required for U.S. citizens for staying over 14 days. Application fee is US$100 for U.S. citizens. See Travel.

The Deborah J. Norden Fund. Students and recent graduates are invited to submit proposals for research projects in the fields of architecture, architectural history, and urban studies. The purpose of the grant is to offer support for travel to assist the winners in carrying out genuinely independent projects.
