The mission of the Transportation, Environment and Equity Group is to improve the quality of life for persons living near freeways and heavily trafficked arterial roads via outreach to communities, educating planners, and undertaking research into the connections among air quality, urban freeways and land use (AQUFLU). The end result is to foster environmental sustainability, equity and reduce health disparities.
