Each week we will meet twice for 110 minute class periods in a computer classroom, where much of our time will be spent analyzing and designing hypermedia in workshops, class discussions, and small-group activities. Outside of class, you are required to perform a minimum of 20 hours of community service over the course of the quarter at a service learning site arranged through the UW's Carlson Center.
The first half of the quarter will be focused on developing foundational skills and exploring issues relevant to making thoughtful design decisions. Around week four, some attention will turn to planning for the final project, and around week six our work will become very much project specific. Weekly assignments and readings will be required, as well as a presentation of your final project.
