I have been teaching at the
University of Washington for the past five years. At the end of the
2005-2006 academic year, I completed a two-year appointment as an Assistant
Director of the Expository Writing Program (EWP) with responsibilities
including curriculum development for 100-level composition courses and the
training and ongoing mentoring of new instructors in English. I am now
looking forward to beginning a new post this fall teaching at the
University of Washington's Bothell campus as a fellow of the Project for
Interdisciplinary Pedagogy.
In addition to teaching (and a few other things :), I am a doctoral candidate in English currently writing my dissertation, Challenging Communication: Linguistic Diversity and the Politics of Variation.
