Street Communication: Morgan McIntosh, 2003
The aspect of urban environments that I chose to document has no specific name that I can think of. Perhaps we should coin a phrase. How about “street communication” or “neighborhood language?” I’m referring to that collection of posted-at-eye-level cards, flyers, and posters that are such a distinct marker of city life. Bulletin boards, posters on telephone polls, flyers in coffee shops, and even signs at bus stops can be thought of as a living document of the city and its people.
