What's it all About?
When "dynamic 3D" is desired, it is often easier to switch the display around within a set of pre-computed images rather than generating arbitrary images in real-time. If there is a large enough set of images to select from, the result is convincing. This is the key to QuickTime VR, and it it can be accomplished in Java as well.The two examples shown here were created by Sitt.

Making One
You will need a panoramic image for the Pano, or a matrix of images for the Object movie.QTVR and HTML
Check the source for either of the two examples given above to see how they are referenced on a web page. While more complex than QTVR, and somewhat more fragile (these viewers don't work well on Macintoshes), there are some compensations, mostly in the form of "hot spots" (clickable areas of the image with which you can associate an URL.Last updated: April, 2014
