For my relection on this project which brought together the total of knowledge of what I learned about cinematography on Bismcs 472b which was quite a lot coming into an advanced class without taking the preliminary class. Overall I feel this project caught me up with the status quo of the class and I felt the bar was set high by the quality of projects produced by the class overall. From the text materials I was able to demonstrate the 3 basic shots: wide, close and medium while following the sequence of conversation dialog and implementing the 180 deg. Rule and 30 deg. Rule successfully. I feel I chose correctly in using the script from classic literature as it has been proven as an example of dialog which works well between mediums. I could have improved with technical aspects like lighting and initial camera settings to have cosistency throughout the video. I intend to reshoot parts of this project to replace a missing piece (line) in the dialog and to correct incosistencies in lighting for my portfolio capstone work next quarter.
