This film focuses on a girl who commits suicide. Although she has good memories with her S/O she still feels alone with she’s not around anyone. I had some difficulties with lighting for the shots that only contain that main character. The lighting in the room was dim, but bright enough to the point that using the lighting kit didn’t help any. It also caused a glare on the glasses frames which is why I decided not to use it anymore. The bathroom lighting was very bright because the light in my bathroom automatically turns on as it is sensor motioned. I didn’t know how to make it so that it wasn’t sensor motion so I just kept the lighting on and somehow tried to change the lighting on Final Cut Pro. Another thing that I had a hard time with was the videos when uploaded to Final Cut. When I put them together the video would be a little laggy in some parts and I tried looking up how to fix it but I couldn’t find anything. What I wish I had done with shoot more shots of the main character by herself. I thought that focusing mainly on their happy memories would show that no matter how happy you are, when you have a feeling, when alone you won’t be able to fill that void. But after putting the video together I noticed that there would most likely be more impact if there were more shots of her in her own thoughts. I think that I could’ve also payed attention to more to different angles or shots because most of mine are medium shots. I think if I were to show more close-ups to show expressions it would’ve been better. But overall I think that this production went better than the last two I tried doing.
Definitely a shocking narrative. I think there are really good candid shots with the couple in the bedroom and the playground. I think the phone call could stay as normal conversation. The narration is good. I think in the alone scenes, she could be in more dramatic lighting and clothes.
The narrative is very good, audience can get into that emotion easily and the music is beautiful. I think adding a little bit original audio makes the video better.
I like this story. It is better if you have scenes at night or at a dark room when shot the character is in the bathtub, dark environment with small light may show character’s sadness.
