This project was a very long 20 hours total of creating this short film. We had issues with specific call times with the person who acted in our short film but he delivered a good performance. The filming process was done from the hours of 6pm – 11pm. Two days back to back working in the same location yet changing the atmosphere depending on the scene. We had some issues with acting on the first day but got better as time progressed. Unfortunately, we did not finish the 2nd/3rd scene on time to film the original sunset ending, which is a little disappointing. But the result is better than I originally though while shooting the last scene.
The editing process was a little difficult since we did decided to do two voice overs and matching the audio recordings with the footage. I had initially went through all the footage and audio recordings and labeled which ones matched up and the time stamps for each scene recording. The editing of the footage took a total time of 12 hours over 2 days.
This video has many close up shots, good to see emotions of the character. I notice there is voice speaking when the character writes the letter, instead of close up shot of the letter, having audio to tell what the character writes is a nice idea.
