CSS 482 Fall 2010 Assignments

  1. In homework 1, you are asked to propose a problem that is well-suited to expert system implementation and justify this.
  2. You will develop your first, simple expert systems in homework 2.
  3. In homework 3, you will combine your earlier expert system with Java code to use GEDCOM genealogy file input.
  4. Homework 4 has you developing a pair of diagnosis programs, first forward chaining and then backwards chaining.
  5. You will build a web application using Java Server Pages, Servlets, and Jess in homework 5.
  6. I'm giving you both part a and part b of homework 6 together; note the separate due dates.
