Taking notes

Select your browser and platform from the menu. Each option covers basic "how to" information so you can maximize your web experience, including:

  • How to navigate in web pages.
  • How to use bookmarks.
  • How to print.
  • How to change font size for better viewing.

In addition there are several other helpful hints in the last 3 menu times, for example, if your browser seems slower than usual, you might want to read about clearing your cache.

Browser Versions

This tutorial covers Netscape's Navigator and Microsoft's Internet Explorer (browser versions of 3.0 or later). Information is provided on how they work on both the Mac and the PC. If you are using another browser you will have to figure this information out for yourself, but this tutorial will still be helpful because it will show you the kinds of things to expect.

This HELP is not meant to be all-inclusive, but provides you with several options for the most common activities. Since browser options change slightly with each update, you will need to learn what works best for you by trial and error.

For the latest version information see:
Netscape at http://www.netscape.com or
MS Internet Explorer at http://www.microsoft.com
