First Thursday Art Walk

"The purpose of the 'First Thursday Art Walk' is to promote the work of artists by providing a forum to legally, safely and fairly display and sell their original work, while also benefiting Pioneer Square residents, businesses and visitors."

First Thursday Art Walk has been active in the Pioneer Square community for more than 20 years.

The program is scheduled every first Thursday of the month

located in Occidental Park

the hours are from 3pm-10pm

dependent on weather conditions

The project is supported and partially organized by the City of Seattle Event Advisory Committee

"It is recognized that the origins of “First Thursday Art Walk” developed organically by artists seeking an outlet for artistic expression, audience and sales opportunity. With this in mind, the event should strive to maintain that spirit by keeping the participation rules simple and the cost low."

In accordance with the goal of providing affordable access to all artists, display space is offered for at the following rates:

$8 for sale booths less than 8'x8' (64 square feet)

$17 for space larger than 8'x8', but less than 10'x10'

concession fee: 10% of gross receipts required by the City of Seattle for vending in a public park

space is allocated on a first come first served basis
