Welcome to the website for the UW Oceanography senior undergraduate thesis cruise. This year, students enrolled in Ocean 444 will be heading to the waters of Hawaii on the R/V Thomas G. Thompson from December 27th to January 4th. Each student will be working on a project that is part of a two-quarter course in which students design, carry out, analyze and present the results of an original oceanographic research project. These projects range from biology to chemistry to physics and to geology.
Mouse over each student's picture to see a brief description of their project, or click on the student photos to read their project summary. Questions for the students about their research or life aboard the ship are welcome via email or as comments on the cruise blog.
