Survey Results:

The students enrolled in ENGR 315 were asked to complete a survey to start the course. In addition to name and email and general demographics, the survey included questions covering the following topics:

	discipline
	familiarity with software
	ideas about the class
	ideas about the role of statistics in their discipline
	various quantities to later analyze - height, age, shoe size, last digit of SSN

The remainder of this document provides some feedback concerning the results of this survey.

Total Repondants:
A total of 83 students completed the survey a subset of the 115 students enrolled in the class.

Gender:
Of these 83 respondants, 21 were female and 62 were male.

Discipline: The disciplinary breakdown is as follows:
37 mechanical engineering students
26 civil engineering students,
8 industrial engineering students,
6 chemical engineering,
6 electrical engineering students,
1 materials science
1 pre-engineering
