TEK Translations

Question

How should we translate TEK into, for example, Spanish. I'm writing an article now in Spanish about it and have settled on CAT (Conocimiento Ambiental Tradicional); note that the variant Conocimiento Ecologico Tradicional would have to be CET; CAT is nice in that it contrasts with CAM, Conocimiento Ambiental Moderno, which is in some ways its opposite. Of course, perhaps it would be more properly Spanish as Conocimiento Tradicional Ambiental (CTA), I don't know as I'm not a native speaker. Has a Spanish version come into use as yet? Where and how?

In Portuguese it is: Conhecimento Ecological Tradicional (CET).

Generally, in the circles in which I move, they use "etnoecologi'a" for the concept.
