|DEGREES AND ADMISSIONS |

The University of Washington School of Art is currently offering an interdisciplinary public art Masters Degrees in Art (M.F.A.) through the newly combined Sculpture and Public Art Program. This is generally a two-year program. Applications for admission are available from the Graduate School and must be submitted by February 1st for Fall Quarter admission. Admission into this program is primarily based on portfolio review (20 slides) showing evidence of successful work in three dimensions and a strong interest in community, plus standard Graduate School requirements. Apply using "Sculpture Program" application guidelines.

An undergraduate B.F.A. is also offered in Sculpture and Public Art. Admission into this program is through the University of Washington Undergraduate Admission Office and the completion of the School of Art foundation courses, preferably during the freshman year.

Furthermore, a Masters Degree Certificate Program (45 credits) will be implemented soon for existing Masters in other fields who wish to augment their degrees with a Public Art focus (e.g. a Master of Landscape Architecture could receive our Certificate in Public Art). The implementation of the Certificate Program may be formally announced soon.
