The idea to make a self-reflexive short that is, itself, about that short not being made had been rattling around for a while. After the first idea for the final project ran into some logistical challenges, this seemed like the right opportunity to move forward on that idea. From there, the goal became finding ways of working nods to other influential films into this project.
It was a lot of fun making this short. A lot of care and planning went into this story about carelessness and procrastination.
