Great final cut video, Sarah. I think you did a nice job with camera work (in terms of angles and range of shots.) Your audio is clear, along with appealing visuals. The entire video kept me interested, you created a good story line.
I think this final project came out pretty well. It draws upon a lot of the concepts we’ve learned this quarter and I think the storyline & plot is easy to follow and hopefully interesting to some extent. I used my sister (Janelle, who plays Sophia) and my cousin (Austin, who plays Justin) which was a bit of a challenge in itself because some scenes took more than 15 takes since I wanted to get the conversation from all three angles (establishing, OTS, reverse OTS), and they wouldn’t stop laughing. It was time consuming but I am glad I made them do it again because the dialogue came out really nice with all three shots. I also had the crying scene at the end which I was concerned about although we easily made my sister cry by making her watch the ending of Marley and Me (I’m not kidding lol). I also used the Zoom to record audio for the first time which worked pretty well and I am satisfied the the audio I got.
I love your video clip so much, Sarah. It is an interesting storyline to see how the character has chosen the fame and the money for her life choice at the beginning, and eventually she got her long-lost result. As a five minutes dramatic short video, I can see that your video followed all the prompt and also showed the flow of the dramatic arc visually. Your video has a good quality of audio. It is clear to hear both character’s voices, especially you did a really great job in the dialogue scenes. Overall, nice and nicely done. Great work!
You did a great job, your phone call, audio was awesome. I love the cut from his audio at the stoop, to his audio on her phone. The use of the flash during the scene with the little kids looked great. The last scene with the tears was so realistic and done really well with the contrast to her counting her money. I loved this piece & the car is gorgeous!
You did really well following your storyline! I loved how you got many different scale of shots. Your audio was really great outdoors. It was really nice seeing the dramatic arc pull through when she started crying after hearing the news! It really brought your piece together very well. Good job!
