George Scott George Scott is an industrial designer who specializes in product design and development and computer aided industrial design technology. He began his professional career with HD Associates in Connecticut designing products for Conair and Mattel. As a team designer with DHD in California, he collaborated in the creation of products for Apple Computer, Jasmine Technologies, Herman Miller, and Haworth. He was a senior industrial designer with Henry Dreyfuss Associates in New York, where he contributed to the research and development of consumer products and systems for AT&T, John Deere, Polaroid, and Hyster. At Cannondale Corporation, George was project director and senior industrial designer for bicycle components and accessories. George developed product designs for NYNEX and Knoll with Chicago based Fahnstrom-McCoy Design Consultants while earning his Masters in Design. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Washington in 1995, he was a Professor of Industrial Design at Rhode Island School of Design where he was recognized for his excellence in teaching. He received his B.A. in Visual Studies from Dartmouth College and his M.F.A. in Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art where he was a Steelcase Merit Scholar. |
