EV Simulation
Throughout this entire quarter, Eric Yost has been working on a simulation of the Electric Fiero. On March 7th, after about ~25 hours of total labor the simulation's inital version was completed and presented to the ASME Western Washington Competition where he took Second Place. Below are a couple pictures depicting various aspects of the simulation. For the actual presentation given to the ASME competition, click HERE. The presentation is also listed under Presentations, on the left hand menu.
To view full (and readable) versions of the below pictures see the presentation as listed above.

Diagram of the Transmission simulation; the most complex section to simulate.
An example of a result given by the simulation. This states that 0-60 time can be reached in 4.17 seconds. As noted in the Presenation the results given by the simulation do not include how the tires will slip when accelerating too fast. Other inaccurcies include wrong efficiencies of various car components, modeling drag from the car, motor calculations and other such items.
