Life history:

Marine mammals spend all or the majority of their life in the ocean, and this grouping includes cetaceans, pinnipeds, sirenians, marine mustelids and the polar bear.

This web page will also make mention of the river otter.  Though it is not strictly a marine mammal, due to its location in the marine waters of the Puget Sound it is often confused with its relative the sea otter.
