PRELIMINARY PLANNING

The preliminary planning phase includes everything happening prior to the move to Pack Forest, from Peter’s first meeting with DNR to the completed project proposal by the FE 444 Design Team. Project goals are developed by balancing the educational needs of UW and the production needs of DNR. The expected deliverables are clearly outlined, giving both parties a framework for evaluating the project upon completion. Much of this preliminary planning information can be found on the project Web Board.

The FE 444 Design Team is charged with creating a proposal for the project, including a thorough evaluation of the stakeholders, functional requirements, and constraints. In essence, their proposal paves the way, allowing us to dive in right when we get to Pack Forest.
