Questions on Assigned Reading to be answered and turned in at class before lecture starts.
Reading the assigned materials before each class will help you to understand the
concepts in lectures. Please answer the assigned short questions based on the reading
for each lecture, and turn in your responses (typically about one paragraph or a
few bullet-points) to your TA at the start of each class.
We will not assign a numerical grade to each of your submissions. Each submission will be assigned a C/NC grade. To get a credit (C), we expect your submissions to reflect a reasonable perusal of the assigned reading materials (after all, we do have some standards). The number of submission credits will contribute toward your class-participation grade. Except in special circumstances, we will not accept submissions after the lecture begins. The point is to do this ahead of the class, after all. Week 2 - Monday, 30 September, 2019.
